The WIFU library, in Claude
Callista puts the published research and practice literature of the WIFU-Stiftung — the Wittener Institut für Familienunternehmen — inside Claude, so you can ask it questions in plain language and get answers with the source attached.
Corpus as of 9 August 2026.
What is in it
The full WIFU Bibliothek, at the grain of the individual publication and down to the individual section of text:
- Praxisleitfäden — the long-form practice guides
- Praxisartikel — shorter practice articles
- WIFU_kompakt — the compact briefing series
- Studien — empirical studies
- WIFU-Schriftenreihe — the academic monograph series
- Bücher
Mostly German, and that is the point
430 of the 515 editions are in German, 85 in English. Callista indexes each one in its own language, so a German question finds German sources properly rather than approximately. You can ask in either language — and you can ask in English about material that only exists in German, because Claude reads it for you.
What you can ask it
- “What does WIFU say about bringing a non-family CEO into a family firm?”
- “Fasse zusammen, was die Praxisleitfäden über Beiräte sagen.”
- “Which WIFU publications deal with conflict between shareholders, and what do they actually recommend?”
- “Wer schreibt bei WIFU am meisten über Nachfolge?”
- “Show me the shape of the library — what is well covered and what is thin?”
How it answers
Callista gives Claude five tools: full-text search across the whole library, retrieval of any single publication with its sections and figures, a map of the library’s own taxonomy, figure lookup, and a source listing. Answers come back with titles, years and links to the original on wifu.de, so you can always go and read the source yourself.
Access is by invitation
Callista is not open to the public. Access is granted address by address. If you have been invited, the install page takes about a minute. If you have not and think you should be, get in touch.
